Tim established Islander Insurance in 2010 as an agent representing Reserve National/Kemper in South Georgia. He has been dedicated to providing health insurance plans to individuals and families, assisting them with enrollment in the ACA Marketplace and Medicare when eligible. Recently, he has developed relationships with various insurance companies to offer alternative individual and group options as part of our employee benefits consulting services.
Having served hundreds of individuals and small businesses in this area, Tim recognizes the ongoing need to expand our services to this underserved market and collaborates with like-minded insurance agents to better serve our community.
Before venturing into health insurance, Tim had an extensive career as a marketing executive in multinational telecommunication corporations, holding an MBA from New York University and a BBA from Georgia State University.
His family has a rich history as members of Lloyds of London for three generations. Additionally, Tim has gained valuable life lessons through his experiences as a sailor.

Kevin Whitney is the owner and chief executive officer of Flexible Benefit Group, Inc. (FBG), a leading consulting firm specializing in employee benefits consulting. Until 2013, FBG focused on various services including section 125 (Cafeteria), Health Savings Account (HSA), Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans (MERP), and Self-Funded Medical Plans. FBG collaborated with insurance brokers and medical TPA partners across the United States to enhance their health insurance offerings.
From 1993 until 2013, Kevin played a crucial role in growing FBG as a Third Party Administrator (TPA), during which he managed responsibilities ranging from claims payer to his current position as chief executive officer. As a frequent speaker at industry meetings, Kevin is recognized as an expert in the 125, HSA, HRA, and MERP markets.
With his experience as a licensed insurance agent, Kevin leverages his extensive knowledge to assist companies in meeting all their benefit needs, working with groups ranging from 2 to over 100 employees. He has access to major carriers nationwide, as well as numerous smaller firms specializing in self-funded plans.
